Ok I feel bad!......
It has been forever since I have done a group email! I have been super busy and feel like I am running more than ever in my mission! I guess that is what happens to us "old Farts" Since the last time I have written A TON has happened! I have had more baptisms and transfers and Mother's Day and a trip to the center and an exercise tournament today and now I feel super weak and dead for all the running and playing and exercise that I have done today! At the end I will add the photo of my zone who won it all today!! So where to start where to start!
Well we will go last to most recent. I have had transfers yet again and I am back in Ixtapaluca for the third time! I am in the ward Heroes! It is an awesome place and we have had one baptism here! It was great, We baptized a lady that has been receiving the missionary lessons for 4 months! She is super strong and now her family is listening to the discussions as well ! It is awesome!
Mother's day was good! I talked to my family for the last time in the mission field! It was
really weird when I was done I realized that the next time that I talk to my family it will be in person in July! Oh and talking about that I have received my return date! I will be coming home the 22nd of July! My flight leaves here (Mexico City) at 3:50 P.M. (that is 2:50 P.M. there in Utah) and I will be arriving in Utah at 7 P.M that evening! I am hoping customs won't take long because we are going to be a big group and it is going to be 7 at night and we just have to show them our papers this time
to show that we are citizens! We won't have to fill out visa papers since we are Americans! so I think 7:45-8 I will be out with my family again! It just feels so weird this is it the last eight weeks of my mission! It feels so weird that it is all ending!
So another cool thing happened! We got a visit as a mission from someone very special! On Friday May 15, 2015 we received a visit from Elder David A. Bednar! And it was an amazing experience! He got there and we were ready to take a picture with him! and It was great to have the meeting with him! He talked to us about faith and how it is a principle of ´power and action! And he said something that was awesome! He told us "you can't just pray and ask for power from god to open your mouths and talk to the people here, then just sit around and wait for that power to come. you just gotta get up and go! to invoke that request from God!" It was truly incredible he is also short... he is about my height actually we are pretty even he and I!
This last Monday we went to the center and we went on the tour bus and we bought some pretty cool ties! A member said that there was a tie sale there but there was not so I could only get one tie and it is cool it is a type of red and black checker pattern! It is pretty slick! The tour bus was a lot of fun and super cool! We saw a ton of places and of all days I left my camera at the house today so I will have to send the pics to my dad and he can post them on Facebook later! But we saw cool stuff like the monument of the revolution and the angle of independence and while we were on the bus
we met a guy who is a member from Canada and it was cool!
So today!!!! Today we had a an exercise day and a tournament! It was so much fun we did exercises like Push-ups and triceps dips, yoga (that killed me) then lunges and squats and that was right after the yoga so it was not fun! Then we did crunches and planks! Then the sports were basketball, volleyball, and soccer! And well WE GOT FIRST PLACE!! This is how it played out. The first game of basketball we lost. then we did exercise, Then we played volleyball and lost the first game but we won the second game! Then we did yoga and more exercise and then soccer and the fist game we won thanks to a goal and the second went to a penalty shoot out and it was tied 2-2 when it was our goalies turn to kick! He made the goal, he rocketed it past the other goalie and then he blocked the other goalie after his own goal so we won 3-2 on penalties! Then we did the planks and
crunches and we played one more game of basketball! and we won that one too! So our final pointage was 4 wins and 2 losses! but there were three teams with that same record so we had to do a three way tie to see who would win! The tie breaker was Free throws and one team went before us and they
made 2 of 10 then we went and the same elder who was our goalie and helped us win in soccer made 7-of 9 free throws and one hna from our zone tried but missed. so we had a foot up on the other zone but we had to wait for one zone more and well they only scored 3 out of 10 baskets! So the zone
Moroni was named as President said it "Immortal Champs of the Battle of Chalco" it was fun and it was a great day!
So ya I am going to do my best to write this letter for the next 8 weeks as I finish my mission! I love you all and hope that you all have a good week! I know He lives and that He loves us! Love you all!
Love Elder Darcy
P.S We all had names on the back and I put an Original............Mr. Darcy

18 Months, Transfers, and a crazy week 1 of this transfer!
February 9, 2015
QUE PASO MUCHAHCHO!
--
Well Ya! It's just like the subject says I have officially been away from home for 18 months now! It is super crazy and it feels weird! With all that has been happening we have been running, running, running! But it has been super Good! I just have to say that I cannot believe that This last six months have gone by so fast! Just before completing 18 months we had the normal three month interviews with the President! The interviews were good and there were two different councils that he gave me! The first was: Elder you are now entering the quarter four of your mission. This is the 4th quarter of your mission and just like in a football or basketball game, Give it all you have! Don't look back! I know that your tired and you want to rest but you just have a little bit more to go! Bust it out and win this one not for the team or your family or you but for the Lord! the second one was this: When he was in the garden praying Christ had three of his Apostles wait by to keep watch for him! But as he was praying they fell asleep because they too had become tired and wanted to rest for a bit and the Lord came back and asked them to do a simple thing! but the next two times he returned and the same thing was happening! Elder Which do you want to be? the one that sleeps or the one that keeps watch for the Lord until the end? It was truly a great interview and I enjoyed it a ton!! I absolutely love doing the interviews with the President because he is such a cool person and I just love talking with him! But ya it was great! So I have 18 months and it is weird and all I have to say is git'er done!
Well this last week was transfers again! We finally made it through the long cycle of 7 weeks instead of 6! with the added week everything felt different! after "week 6" was over I was like woha transfers........NO! oh ya that's right there are 7 weeks this cycle! But there were transfers this last week and well I guess we will start with the meeting! So they changed the form of transfers again! Sunday night they called us and told us that who had transfers! But the catch was that they just said who was leaving not with who or where! our new comps and areas were posted on a list at the chapel on Tuesday! I got there and the list was posted and I found out that I would still be staying in my area with an Elder Rose!! Well so here is the catch to this! Elder Rose and I worked together for about a week and a half in Ayotla Ixtapaluca back in September when I had special transfers from Buenavista! So I am actually working with an old companion! It is super cool! He is from the Sacramento area and he was studying at BYU-I and is planning on getting a degree in engineering! He is cool and he loves to talk about what ever! it was actually a shock because we had worked together before and we were not expecting it! So it is really cool! On Tuesday I got caught up talking with Hermana Crickmore and she was explaining to me the presidents mindset! She told me that the President wanted to pull both of me and Elder Ponce out but at the same time he didn't want to white wash the area! So I am here this cycle to teach Elder Rose the area and then I am gone more than likely to another area to learn it and finish my mission training! I am okay with this!
So that was my craziness for the last few weeks. Well i hope that you all have a good week and that you all can feel the spirit of the lord with you! I love you all so much and wish you all the best!
Love,
Elder Darcy

Christmas, New Years, and More
January 12, 2015
HEYO!!
HEYO!!
Well it has been a few weeks since I have written! Sorry about that! The last couple of weeks have been super busy as it always is for this time of year! And well............................WE ARE INTO 2015!!!! My mind is going a little crazy with the holidays and busy work schedule it can make a person them super tired!! The holidays were good here! We had two weird weeks of a half day work and then a day of rest thanks to the holidays! But all is well and it was a lot of fun! Christmas was great here I got to talk to my family and it was cold - even Snowed a little bit! I know right crazy! Then new years was good with a ton of drunk people in the streets! Very interesting to say the least! And now 2015 WOW this is it the "final stretch" With the holidays over and people working again and all the kids back in school we could start to work harder now that everyone is home from vacations!
Christmas 2014 (the last one of the mission.....no way!) I can't believe that! I will start with the 24th! We only worked till 6 and then we spent the rest of the night with our investigator XXXXXl and that was fun! It got super cold and it even snowed a little bit! It got so cold that I had to pull out the nice dress coat that my dad told me I might not ever use in my mission! I have used it a few times since! I am glad that my dad sent it with me! Then the 25th was good it was one of the few day we could sleep a little more! Since Christmas was on a Thursday we had our weekly planning that afternoon! Then the most funny of all! we went shopping! Yes there was a store open on Christmas! it was crazy! At three here we had planned on talking to our families! Well we got to the apartment complex that we had planned on going to and the guard told us the family we had planned to go with was not there that they had left like 20 min before! I called my families to let them know that i was going to Skype a little later and we found another family to go with and i got to Skype my families!! That was great!
Then with the new year 2015 all was calm! It was like the week before where Wednesday we worked till 6 and Thursday we didn't work we just did our weekly planning session and we hung out with the other two Elders in our district! It was great because it was a calm day so we grilled up some burgers and hot dogs and just relaxed! the new year was not all that exciting because we could not go any where or do much because of all the drunk people out in the streets!
Then this last week was good with a sad story in the middle :/ We finally got back to work this last week as everyone got into the swing of things all over again! we had more work! during the two weeks of the holidays we had 11 lessons the week of Christmas and the week of new years 13 so this last week we passed 20 which was great cause I was ready to go crazy with such little work! but this work made it better! The sad story is that this next week we were going to baptize on of our investigators, but that didn't happen because she moved to Guadalajara so ya........ that is like a 12 hour drive from here... But we have received a lot of referrals here in our area so our work is cut out for us!
I love you all and hope that you have a good week!
Until next week!
Love

FELIZ NAVIDAD!!
December 22, 2014
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!
WOW I cannot believe that this Christmas season is already here!! It's so crazy! Well This last week was a busy one! We Had the transfers meeting on Tuesday and then we had the Mission Christmas activity on Thursday and to top that all off we had the Ward Christmas party on Saturday!!! So it was a pretty busy week! And now here we are the week of Christmas!! Wow, what a week it has been! I guess no matter back home or in the mission this time of year is always super busy! But it has been good so far And the best part is that this week I get to see my families faces!!
So ya transfers were this week! I am now with my new comp Elder Ponce who is from Honduras and he is super cool and super funny! He is fresh out of his training and he is super humble and is willing to walk a ton and just be happy! I do have to say though that I felt as if Tuesday was the longest day of my mission because when my companion got here he didn't talk a lot so it was super quiet and I just want this day to end!!! But all ended up good and I realized that these were his first changes from his first area! So it makes sense that he was quiet cause I am sure that he was feeling a little different to be in anew place and with a new person!
Then Thursday we had our Mission Christmas activity and it was in the Ameca stake center in Volcanas and I realized that I would not mind finishing my mission there! The activity was good we got a little bit of instruction and we did some practices! After that we had the activities! We started off with the white elephant gift game! Then after it was a big talent show for the mission! There were some cool things there and I loved it! There was this cool one with a yo-yo and one of the Mexican tops! Then there was also beet boxing with a guitar! President Crickmore ordered from some place to bring us tacos! Very yummy!! It caught me off guard a little to look at the mission and realize that I do not recognize over half of the mission! It's crazy! Then the best thing happened! For the first time in two years I ate pumpkin pie!! It was SO GOOD! I was in heaven and sad when it was gone!
The Ward Christmas party was fun and i enjoyed it was just a talent show with dinner and the kids beating on like 5 pinatas! But it was cool!
Well to be honest I am happy that this Christmas season is here! In this year as we have approached this great day I have thought a lot about a song that means a lot to me! It is from a show called the Forgotten Carols and I love that show but one of my favorite songs from that is "Three Kings Found The Lord" Part of the chorus of that song is "Three Kings found the Lord, so can we!" I know that is true that we can find The Lord wherever we are and that He will bless us always! This is a great time that we have to remember The Lord and his birth! We should always remember Him throughout the year in all that we do! But this is the best time of the year to be with families and remember Him and remember that #HeIsTheGift!
I love you guys so much and wish you a Feliz Navidad!!!

Phase 11 of 16 Complete!
December 15, 2014
WOW!!!
WOW!!!
So to be honest I have no clue which transfer cycle was faster! This one or the last one! it's so crazy that the cycle is already over! Well seeing that i was with Elder Thomson for three months o guess it was nesicary to have changes! I am kind of sad to be honest because I have loved working with Elder Thomson! But at the same time I understand the Lord needs him in a different area now! Well to close up the cycle we had a good week! a little more productive! we found new people we put some new dates for baptism and a whole lot more! Also starting this week our holiday madness begins! so it has been a good but busy week!
Elder Thomson is being transferred to Amecameca right at the base of the volcano! But I am sad because I have really enjoyed my time with him! It has been a great three months! Opening this area with him has been so much fun! So because Elder Thomson is leaving I am reciving a new companion! And this is kind of cool........ my new companion is my "grandson".......... So that's a mission term and this is what it plays out to. Back in july I recived Elder Aguilar and I did his trainning and that means that i am his dad! Well he is now finishing the training of his "son" Elder Ponce from Honduras! well tomarrow i will be reciving elder Ponce as my new companion! So my new companion happens to be my "grandson"! It's really cool I am super excited to work with him and have some "family bonding time" Haha but Elder Ponce is going to be my first companion Latino that is not from Mexico! all the other Latinos that i have been with are all from Mexico!!! so it should be a lot of fun!!
To start off, this last week we had a guided visit of our capilla with a few new people we found this last week! We found this lady who is called hna. Xxxxxxx and her grand-daughter hermanita Xxxxxxx. On Wednesday we took them to the church and we had a guided visit with them! It was a cool experience because as we were there, there were a few members from our ward at the church for some stuff! So we introduced our investigators to the members and it was super cool! As we were finnishing up we were in the room where the baptismal font is.! Well we decided to put the date of Jan. 17 as the baptismal date! When we presented the challenge to them they both accepted without hesitating or thinking about it! It was super cool cause President Crickmore told us that is how we find chosen people or the people who are prepared for us! So it was super cool! Then last night we had an Hna. Introduce us to another new investigator who is called Xxxx! We went and we got to know the guy and he is super cool! We just explained the pamphlet of the Resturation to him and he accepted it and told us that he would gladly read it! As we were talking we inited him to come with us to church on sunday and he was like "ya i don't see why i would not be able to go!" We were like WOW that is so COOL! because usually when we invite people to come to church there like well i ddon't know we'll see or i'm not sure! So when said ya i dont see why not we were like SUPER COOL!!! But ya it was a good week!
"Well the weather outsides' not frightful my friends you look so delightfull where ever you go ther is sun there is sun there is sun"! So thats my version of "let it snow" because to celebrate the holidays we will be starting our "holiday madness" this week! So for example This week is super busy!! Tomorrow is transfers and the meeting that comes with that! Then Thursday there is a mission Christmas meeting/ party from 10 am to 5 pm! Then saturday afternoon we have the ward christmas party! so we are busy almost every other day this week! Then next week is crazy as well! On the 24th we only work till 6 pm then we spend the night till 10:30 with a family eating food and partying! Then Thur. 25th we don't work and we TALK TO OUR FAMILIES!!! Then the next week wed the 31st Is just like the 24th and that night we can pass the night with our distric or a family from the ward as we choose! Then Thur. the 1st we have a mission soccer tournament from 8am till 4pm so we can spend the rest of the nigh dead tired and numb from playing! So it should be fun!!
Well thats about it for this week! just a quick update on Xxxxxx our one footed (for right now) Investigator, We still have not gotten a response from the First Presidency but he is still super excited! He is a cool guy i hope we can get the permission to baptize him this cycle! To close I want to share a scripture from Alma that i love about prayer and the importance of praying! Its Alma 34:39: Yea, and I also exhort you, my brethren, that ye be watchful unto prayer continually, that ye may not be led away by the temptations of the devil, that he may not overpower you, that ye may not become his subjects at the last day; for behold, he rewardeth you no good thing. I Love that Scripture Because It's like D&C 10:5 urging us to pray always to overcome the temptations of the devil and not fall into his temptations!
I Love you all so much and I hope that you have a good week! Love you all and Feliz Navidad! :D
love,

16 months and rolling!
December 8, 2014
HEYO!!!
HEYO!!!
So it's cold outside but no snow QUE PACHO CON ESTO????? Haha it's just a small joke cause i truly do miss the snow! But then again from what I have heard it has been a pretty green Christmas Season to start off with! Good ole' Utah and the bipolar weather! Things are going great here,I am passing for the seasonal cold now!! The weather changes like crazy here! Super cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon and back to cold in the night! JUST LIKE HOME!! Naww but it was a good week! Our investigator Xxxxx had an interview with President Crickmore and it went good but for Xxxxx to get baptized he has to receive special permission from the First Presidency!!! So that was fun! Then yesterday was cool cause it was the Christmas Devotional!!! It was super good! To cap that all off I now have been gone for 16 months that is so crazy!! I cannot believe how fast time is moving! But over all it was a good week!
So ya the Weather is crazy and so are the people! This coming week the Catholics will be celebrating the d
Day of the Virgin!!!!! We have to be home by 6 that day. The weather is like i said super cold then super hot then super cold again all in the same day! And thanks to this change I have come down with a cold and it sucks cause at the same time i am having some stomach problems! But i am doing better i just hate being sick and doing the work of the Lord at the same time! i would much rather be fine doing the work! But i think i am almost over it!
So our investigator Xxxxx had his interview this last week with President! He has to get permission from the First Presidency of the Church to be baptized. This wasn't a shock to us because he had told us that he was on parole and why! He was falsly acused of robbing a truck and killing a custodian in the process! But the funny part is that he wasn't even there! at the time this happened he was at his daughters school for a Parent teacher confrence type of thing! He had signitures from multipul diferent witnesses and still didn't fly kind of dumb to be honest! So now we are just waiting for that!
But WOW 16 MONTHS!!! that is so crazy! I can't believe that another month has gone by! it's super crazy! I think its even crazier to think that next month is January AGAIN! but this last month was good and it was productive! Well just like that I guess the car runs down the hill! I am so excited to be here and i love it and i will be honest i have asked my President to extend my mission by a cycle or two but he wont let me! so for now i have 7 1/2 months left!
I hope you all have a good week and that the spirit of the Lord fills your spirits this Christmas season! The Devotional was great yesterday everyone shared the same type of message! HE IS THE GIFT! Please spread His spirit and give love one to another and remember Christmas is not about the new tablets or cars or iPhones! it's about Him Our Lord and Savior! and I am truly grateful for Him and the sacrifice that He made for all of us!!!
Love you guys have a great week!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
November 24, 2014
HEYO EVERYONE!!
HEYO EVERYONE!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! Wow I can't believe that it's already here again! I remember last thanksgiving! I was such a grennie! This last week was a good week! my comp had a leadership meeting to attend! So that was fun! We had a problem with our Investigator XXXXX (with the bad foot) He got into a fight with his wife and he did not want to get baptized but then he changed his mind! What a fast week it was! I cannot believe how fast it has gone! I mean seriously we are already to Thanksgiving again! thats super crazy!!
So in the meeting that my companion had this week they talked a lot about safety and stuff because missionaries have been getting sick and hurt! Kind of crazy! With that there did come an announcment! The Church has changed the Transfer schedule! We will be having transfers a week early. We will have a week to find someone to Skype with on Christmas!! This transfer will be five weeks and the next will be seven!
Our investigator Xxxxxgot into a fight with his wife this week and said that he didn't want to get baptized any more! So we were like umm ok what happened! We found out they they had fought and so he didn't want to do that! But all turned out great and the other Elders in our district had a baptism! We told XXXXX come to this and if you don't feel anything we will stop visiting you. So we had the baptism and after the ordinance Xxxxx was crying!! we were like WOW thats cool! As we took him home he told us that he wants to be baptized cause he felt the spirit so strong! it was great!
Well it is the time of Thanksgiving again and I have to say that i am extremely grateful for a lot of things! First off I am grateful for my Lord, Savior, and brother Jesus Christ and the trust he has given me these last 15 months and a half! Second of all I am so grateful for all of my family! I am so grateful for their support as I have been here in Mexico! I love them so much! I am grateful for a Gospel I can shape my life around! That I have some direction to my life knowing that one day I will return to my Father in Heaven! I Am so grateful for all of my friends and the letters and emails that they have sent me!
I love you all I hope that you all enjoy your time with your families and the turkey! DON'T FORGET THE TURKEY IT IS SUPER IMPORTANT!! haha!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
